California is offering a range of winter travel deals for visitors and residents looking to explore the state’s diverse regions, from snowy mountains to coastal cities. The discounts include hotel packages, theme park promotions, and special events aimed at encouraging tourism during the colder months.

In Northern California, Mendocino is hosting its annual Seafood & Sips festival from January 30 to February 8. Hotel deals related to the festival include up to 30 percent off at several local inns. Napa Valley offers a “Little Book of Big Experiences” wine passport for $95, granting VIP access and savings at ten wineries through March 31, 2026. Santa Rosa’s Vinarosa Resort & Spa has introduced a luxury Grand Gesture package for Valentine’s Day that features amenities such as private dinners and a personalized drone show over the resort vineyard.

Families can find value at Soda Springs ski resort in North Lake Tahoe with season passes covering lifts and tubing areas for $699 per family without blackout dates. Sacramento’s Kimpton Sawyer hotel is offering a package for NBA fans attending Kings games, including perks like breakfast credits and valet parking until April 30.

Coastal towns are also participating in winter promotions. The Dream Inn in Santa Cruz provides 20 percent off rates along with dining credits through February 28. In Redding, guests booking two-night stays at select hotels can choose between free tickets to local attractions or gift cards redeemable at restaurants and breweries.

Central California highlights include winter cabin rates starting at $84 inside Yosemite National Park, with additional discounts available using promotional codes until March 26. Mammoth Mountain’s Quad Pack+ deal gives skiers four lift tickets with flexible dates and ongoing ticket reload discounts throughout the season.

Modesto celebrates almond blossom season in February and March with road trip packages that feature tour admissions and savings books valid at area businesses. Monterey Bay Inn bundles whale-watching excursions with hotel stays during peak migration season.

Southern California destinations have also announced seasonal offers. Huntington Beach hotels are promoting free nights and discounted stays; Kimpton Shorebreak includes complimentary social hours and bike rentals for guests exploring the city.

La Jolla’s Lodge at Torrey Pines offers room discounts tied to golf tournament tickets or zoo visits. Catalina Island features romance packages that combine hotel stays with transportation on the Catalina Express ferry service.

Anaheim travelers can take advantage of a fourth night free at Portofino Inn & Suites near Disneyland Resort or purchase kids’ tickets to Disneyland for $50 starting January 21 when buying special Park Hopper passes. Residents can access further discounted multi-day tickets valid through May 21, while onsite resorts offer up to 25 percent off bookings made by May 7.

Theme parks across Southern California are joining in: Universal Studios Hollywood is providing three extra months on annual passes purchased before April 8, LEGOLAND Carlsbad has slashed hotel rates by 30 percent with $39 children’s admission available through year-end, and San Diego Zoo Safari Park grants seniors free entry throughout February as part of Museum Month activities citywide.

Additional deals include reduced rates on Palm Desert resorts such as Westin Desert Willow Villas (bookable until April) and Mojave Resort’s relaxation-focused Desert Dreams package featuring wellness amenities for adult guests.

These promotions aim to attract visitors during what is typically a quieter travel period in California by highlighting unique experiences across various destinations.
