This summer, travelers looking to explore California can take advantage of a wide range of travel deals on hotels, resorts, and attractions across the state. Local tourism boards recommend checking their official websites for the latest offers, which often include discounted hotel rates, bundled amenities, and special ticket pricing at major attractions.

In Southern California, LEGOLAND Carlsbad is offering a Summer Play Pass for $129, granting unlimited admission to both the theme park and SEA LIFE Aquarium through September 19. This price matches that of a single regular-admission ticket. Guests booking onsite lodging at LEGOLAND can save up to 25 percent by reserving at least 30 days in advance.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla provides guests with a $400 resort credit when they book three nights. The credit can be used at the onsite spa or restaurants overlooking Torrey Pines Golf Course. Additional packages are available through the San Diego Tourism deals page.

In Laguna Beach, The Ranch offers a third night free plus waived parking and resort fees for stays through December 31 (with blackout dates). The “Pillows and Pancakes” package includes a $50 breakfast credit usable throughout the property.

Newport Beach’s Balboa Bay Resort gives up to $500 in resort credits depending on length of stay and 15 percent off standard rates. Anaheim visitors can benefit from Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Ticket Offers—tickets as low as $100 per day through August 14—and discounts up to 20 percent at onsite hotels during this period.

Other notable deals include Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Greater Palm Springs offering up to 20 percent off multi-night stays booked by September 7; Universal Studios Hollywood’s buy-one-day-get-one-free offer valid until December 17; and Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes with Sunday night stays starting at $249 or options for extended discounts.

Central California also features attractive promotions. Santa Barbara hosts third-night-free deals across about 20 properties ranging from family-friendly hotels to luxury resorts like The Ritz-Carlton Bacara. In Pismo Beach, The Cliffs Hotel & Spa provides a fourth night free or half-off on the third night for select check-in dates.

Visitors staying three nights or more at Lighthouse Lodge & Cottages in Pacific Grove may receive over one-third off their bill. Visalia’s Darling Hotel gives guests an extra ten percent discount and dining credit during summer months—a city noted for its autism-certified accessibility initiatives.

Merced County’s Splash-n-Dash Aqua Park has reduced admission exclusively for Visit California readers—30 percent off tickets during all operating days in 2025—making it more affordable for families seeking water-based recreation near Lake McSwain Recreation Area.

Northern California travelers have access to several unique incentives as well. Early-summer bookings made via VisitTruckeeTahoe.com come with a $150 gift card redeemable locally if travel is completed by June 29. In San Francisco, Hotel Zeppelin commemorates the Grateful Dead’s sixtieth anniversary with themed suites including vinyl records and discounted dining; other hotel specials run throughout the year citywide.

Sonoma County features nightly resort credits of $100 at The Lodge at Sonoma (for three-night minimums) along with seasonal discounts elsewhere such as Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn’s escalating savings based on stay length. Napa Valley resorts are offering third-night-free packages while St. Helena presents wine passport experiences allowing tastings at multiple wineries until August end.

Families heading to Sacramento can save twenty percent or more on accommodations at Kimpton Sawyer Hotel (for three nights or longer), while baseball fans booking Home2 Suites by Hilton in West Sacramento receive game-related perks including complimentary parking and market credits close to Sutter Health Park where Major League Baseball games will be held following recent team relocations (https://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article285759237.html).

Along California’s northern coastlines, Mendocino County inns promote multi-night discounts combined with activity bundles like rail bike rides and botanical garden visits from Little River Inn; Mendocino Inn & Farm provides further reductions based on length of stay for eco-conscious travelers.

Additional regional highlights include significant savings on ride wristbands after hours at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk; craft beer promotions tied into hotel stays along Half Moon Bay; special value-added offers near landmarks such as Redding’s Sundial Bridge; and exclusive rental vehicle discounts between Los Angeles and San Francisco from Roadsurfer when using promotional codes found via local travel sites.

Tourism organizations continue updating these offerings throughout summer, aiming to make travel within California accessible despite rising costs statewide.
