Each week, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) releases updates on new filings and ongoing proceedings that may affect utility services, communities, and consumers in the state. The filings from October 27 to October 31, 2025, include several proposed decisions open for public comment as well as new complaints and applications.
Among the proposed decisions is one related to Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s revenue requirement to support continued operation of the Diablo Canyon Power Plant and a proposal for 2026 volumetric performance fees. Another proceeding involves an order to investigate and design clean energy financing options for electricity and natural gas customers. Additionally, there is a decision adopting revised data gathering and reporting requirements for transportation electrification programs, with clarifications on previous program adoptions.
New complaints and applications have also been filed. These include an application by Macca Rentals LLC seeking authority to operate as a scheduled passenger stage corporation between San Ysidro and Sacramento with intermediate stops, along with establishing a zone of rate freedom. Other cases involve billing disputes or alleged tariff violations against major utilities such as San Diego Gas & Electric Company, Southern California Edison Company, and Southern California Gas Company.
One appeal was also filed by White Diamond Limousine/Humberto Bringas Trejo regarding a $2,000 citation issued by the CPUC Consumer Protection and Enforcement Division.
Members of the public are encouraged to participate in these proceedings by submitting comments directly via each proceeding’s Docket Card or subscribing to receive updates using the relevant proceeding number through CPUC’s Subscription Service.
