Each week, new filings are made in proceedings that affect utility services, communities, and consumers in California. These filings include Proposed Decisions that may be open for public comment, as well as new complaints and applications that could influence future policy and regulatory decisions.

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has announced several key filings for the week of October 20-24, 2025. Among these is a Proposed Decision in proceeding R2303007, filed on October 24. This decision addresses the timing and amount of the 2026 Wildfire Fund Non-Bypassable Charge.

Additional filings include an application from Liberty Utilities (CalPeco Electric) LLC to update rates through its Energy Cost Adjustment Clause and California Climate Credit, effective January 1, 2026. Vested Networks LLC has applied for registration as a telephone corporation under Public Utilities Code section 1013.

There is also an appeal by Armando Diaz regarding a $4,000 matter issued by the CPUC Consumer Protection and Enforcement Division. Furthermore, a reopened application concerns PacifiCorp and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company seeking exemption from certain approval requirements related to the acquisition of PacifiCorp by MidAmerican.

The CPUC encourages public participation in these processes. “If a Proposed Decision is listed, you can submit a written comment directly on the proceeding’s Docket Card. For any proceeding, you can also subscribe to the CPUC’s Subscription Service using the proceeding number to receive updates, rulings, and notices.”

“Submit a public comment on any Proposed Decision via the CPUC Docket Card,” states information from the commission. “Subscribe to a proceeding using its number to receive future updates.”

These weekly updates provide opportunities for stakeholders and members of the public to engage with ongoing regulatory matters affecting utilities across California.
