Registration is now open for members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) to attend the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CBTU Convention gathers trade unionists from across the United States to discuss important labor issues. At last year’s convention, IAM members participated in workshops focused on organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, building power within unions, and sharing strategies aimed at strengthening both their own union and the broader labor movement.

A special group room rate for attendees has been set at $185 per night plus applicable taxes at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The deadline to reserve rooms under this rate is April 24, 2026. A one-night credit card deposit is required when booking; this deposit is refundable if cancellation occurs by April 15, 2026. After April 24, reservations will depend on availability and may be subject to higher rates set by the hotel.

Attendees are encouraged to make reservations through the official CBTU booking link. Alternatively, IAM members can book by phone at 1-877-803-7534 using “CBTU” as a reference; however, online booking remains preferred.
