Each week, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) releases updates on new filings and ongoing proceedings that affect utility services across the state. For the week of August 18–22, 2025, several proposed decisions, complaints, and applications were filed that may influence regulatory actions and policies.
Among the notable items is a Proposed Decision in Proceeding A23-03-003, which grants compensation to The Utility Reform Network for its substantial contribution to Decision 24-06-024. Another Proposed Decision in Proceeding A22-05-002 et al. denies a Petition for Modification of Decision 22-12-009.
New complaints and applications include an application from Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and Lakeside Pipeline LLC seeking a reasonableness review of costs related to the Lakeside: Maas Energy Works Senate Bill (SB) 1383 Dairy Biomethane Pilot Project. The City of Oceanside has also filed for authority to construct a pedestrian underpass trail at Loma Alta Creek as part of the Loma Alta Slough Wetlands Enhancement Project, pending Commission approval.
Additionally, Minturn Nut Company has lodged a complaint against Pacific Gas and Electric Company regarding service adequacy and associated charges. Another complaint was filed by Rebecca Flores, Trustee for The Cytah Flores Legacy Trust, concerning service and billing issues with Pacific Gas and Electric Company.
