Disney is marking the start of World Princess Week with a series of events, new content, and product launches aimed at celebrating the legacy of Disney princesses. The week includes a musical brand spot featuring music by seven-time Grammy Award winner Jacob Collier and showcases how Disney princesses continue to inspire children and fans globally.
“For over a century, Disney has enchanted audiences across generations with timeless stories that ignite the imagination, and Disney princesses remain an enduring part of our storytelling—inspiring kids and fans of all ages to go beyond dreaming big, to doing big things. We created this special musical brand spot in celebration of World Princess Week, the countless Disney Princess fans around the world, and the limitless power of their imaginations,” said Mallory Wang, Vice President of Brand Marketing at The Walt Disney Company.
The newly released musical brand spot titled “All Princesses Make Magic” features two sisters who use inspiration from Disney princesses to create a surprise birthday party for their mother. Santino Fontana, Tony Award winner and voice actor from “Frozen,” plays the father in this spot.
A concert event called “Disney Princess Concert: Celebrating 70 Years of Disneyland” will be available on YouTube on August 29 and later on Disney+. The performance features Auli‘i Cravalho (Moana), Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O’Hara (Belle), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), with hosts Ginnifer Goodwin and Susan Egan. This concert is part of both World Princess Week and Disneyland Resort’s 70th anniversary celebrations.
Another feature includes a ride-along video with Jodi Benson through “The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure” at Disneyland Resort. In this video, Lauren Paley interviews Benson about her experiences as Ariel’s voice.
Disney Consumer Products is launching new items such as Jakks Pacific Majestic Dresses, princess-themed jewelry from Little Words Project, DIFF Eyewear designs, Pandora rings, Squishmallows box sets, Cakeworthy apparel collections, books like “Disney Princess: Princesses Love School!” and “Tiana’s Perfect Plan,” along with recent products from Mattel and LEGO highlighting popular sidekicks. More details about these products will be revealed on Good Morning America on August 28.
On its streaming platform Disney+, subscribers can access exclusive programming including “LEGO Disney Princess: Villains Unite” and a dedicated stream featuring stories about courage and companionship among princess characters. Eligible subscribers can also enter sweepstakes for prizes such as vinyl records or toy bundles via limited-time offers.
Families can watch behind-the-scenes content on NatGeoKids’ YouTube channel where animal specialists discuss real-life animals that inspired characters like Rajah from Aladdin or Pua from Moana. Additional themed episodes are expected throughout the year on ABC and Hulu.
Music releases tied to World Princess Week include a collector’s edition zoetrope vinyl celebrating Tangled’s 15th anniversary available for pre-order at Disney Music Emporium as well as digital albums like “Disney Princess Strings: Garden Soirée” across platforms such as Spotify or Apple Music. A live-to-film concert tour for Moana will begin October 3 in Morristown, New Jersey; more information is available online.
As part of its ongoing relationship with Make-A-Wish Foundation—where it remains one of the largest wish granters globally—Disney granted wishes to over 100 children during World Princess Week through special events at Disneyland Park in California, Latin America experiences, activities aboard Disney Cruise Line in Rome for Italian families, and upcoming festivities at Disneyland Paris.
