The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has announced a new organizational realignment aimed at improving the department’s efficiency and advancing its priorities under President Trump’s administration. The changes are intended to support efforts to increase American energy production, promote scientific and technological leadership, and maintain the safety and readiness of the nation’s nuclear weapons stockpile.

U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright stated, “Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, the Energy Department is aligning its operations to restore commonsense to energy policy, lower costs for American families and businesses, and ensure the responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars.” He added, “These changes will help us better execute the DOE mission of delivering affordable, reliable and secure American energy for the American people.”

The DOE says this realignment reflects a commitment to enhancing operational effectiveness in line with national energy goals.
