California communities across the state are preparing for a range of Fourth of July celebrations, offering residents and visitors a variety of options to mark Independence Day. Events include large-scale fireworks displays, traditional parades, unique local activities, and special festivities at theme parks.
Major cities will host some of the state’s most notable fireworks shows. In San Francisco, the main display is visible over Fisherman’s Wharf. South Lake Tahoe will present a synchronized fireworks show that can be viewed from multiple locations around town or from boats on the lake. Tahoe City will feature an eco-friendly drone show with 300 drones over the lake.

Orange County’s Newport Beach Fireworks Extravaganza takes place over Back Bay, while San Diego County hosts its Big Bay Boom show visible from several waterfront locations.
Theme parks in California are also joining in the celebrations. Disneyland Resort will offer its nightly fireworks with patriotic music for July 4th.
