The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department is now accepting registrations for its upcoming Women’s Leadership Program and Advanced Women’s Leadership Program, both scheduled to take place in March 2026 at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The Women’s Leadership Program will run from March 1 to March 6, 2026. According to the IAM, the program is aimed at encouraging women union members to become more active within their local chapters and districts. The curriculum focuses on building leadership abilities as well as developing skills related to organizing, parliamentary procedure, political and legislative involvement, strategic planning, and network building.

For those who have already completed the initial course, the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is set for March 15 through March 20, 2026. This advanced session allows participants to expand on previous training while continuing to develop key skills in leadership development and other areas important for effective union participation.

“IAM sisters are equipped with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership,” states the organization.

Details about tuition, transportation, and curriculum can be found in the official call letter that accompanies registration materials. All registrations must be submitted using the Departmental Program Registration Form.

The deadline for registering for the Women’s Leadership Program is January 21, 2026. For those interested in the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program, registration closes on February 11, 2026.

Members seeking additional information or with questions are advised to contact the IAM Women’s & Young Workers Department by phone at 301-967-4747.

Eligible members are encouraged by IAM leadership to participate in these programs as a means of building a stronger and more inclusive organization.
