The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Retirees and Membership Assistance Department announced on Apr. 7 that it is accepting registrations for the upcoming Retirees Assistance Program, which will take place from June 14 to June 19, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The program aims to provide IAM retirees with resources and knowledge to help them address various challenges during retirement. The event offers educational sessions focused on topics such as elder abuse awareness, mental health support, self-care strategies, senior addiction issues, healthcare navigation skills, and volunteer opportunities.

Participants will also have access to courses covering community resource identification and use, dementia awareness education, financial planning guidance including asset protection strategies, senior housing options evaluation, preparation for medical appointments with doctors, sensitivity training workshops, and information about advance directives.

Details regarding tuition fees, transportation arrangements and curriculum are outlined in the official call letter released by IAM policy.

The program reflects a continued effort by the IAM to support its retired members as they transition into new phases of life.
