Oakland Police seek public help in finding missing at-risk man

The Oakland Police Department is seeking public assistance in locating Allen Berry, a 71-year-old man who has been reported missing and is considered at risk due to medical challenges. Berry was last seen on October 5, 2025, at approximately noon in the 9500 block of Sunnyside Street. At the time, he was wearing a blue Veterans baseball cap, a red polo shirt, and blue jeans.

According to the police, Berry is described as a Black male, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, with gray hair and gray eyes. His family reports that he suffers from memory loss and mental health challenges. Berry is known to use public transportation and has been known to frequent San Francisco.

“The Oakland Police Department requests assistance from our community and media partners in locating Missing Person Allen Berry, who is at risk due to Medical Challenges.”

Anyone with information regarding Berry’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Oakland Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit at (510) 238-3641.
