Oakland Police seek public’s help identifying suspect in October carjacking

The Oakland Police Department is seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a carjacking and assault that took place on October 1, 2025. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of Clay Street.

According to police, officers responded to reports of a carjacking and found a 77-year-old victim with severe injuries at the scene. Investigators have obtained video footage showing the female suspect.

She is described as a Black woman, between 20 and 30 years old, standing approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a thin build and black hair worn in a ponytail.

“This is an active investigation. Anyone who has information is asked to contact the Oakland Police Robbery Unit at (510) 238-3326,” the department stated.
