Oakland Police seek public’s help identifying suspects in 2021 homicide

Four years after Dirk Tillotson was killed during a home invasion robbery in East Oakland, the Oakland Police Department (OPD) is asking for public assistance to identify two suspects connected to the homicide.

According to OPD, the first suspect is described as a male of medium build, approximately 5’9” to 6’0” tall. He was seen wearing a gray or light-colored hooded sweatshirt, black or dark-colored pants with stripes on the side, and white shoes with black trim.

The second suspect is described as a thin male, also about 5’9” to 6’0” tall. He was last seen wearing a gray or light-colored hooded sweatshirt, gray or light-colored pants, and light-colored shoes.

Authorities urge anyone who recognizes these individuals or has information related to the case to contact the OPD Criminal Investigations Division at (510) 238-3821 or use the TIP LINE at (510) 238-7950. The department also requests that anyone with videos or photos that may help the investigation send them to cidvideos@oaklandca.gov.
