Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) has announced that it will provide automatic bill credits to customers affected by the recent power outage in San Francisco on December 20, 2025. The company stated that both residential and business customers impacted by the outage will receive these credits without needing to take any action.
Residential customers will see a $200 credit applied to their bills, while business customers will receive an approximately $2,500 credit. These adjustments will appear as “Customer Satisfaction Adjustment” on upcoming statements. Customers who wish to pursue additional compensation for extended outages can still file a separate claim.
“We recognize the significant impact this outage had on our customers, and we are committed to providing immediate and meaningful support,” said Vincent Davis, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer. “We are making this as fast and easy as possible for our customers. The credits are one way we are working to restore trust and ensure our customers receive the assistance they deserve.”
PG&E also plans to directly notify affected customers about the credits. The company is reviewing the cause of the outage and says it remains focused on improving infrastructure and response strategies to reduce future disruptions.
PG&E serves more than 16 million people across Northern and Central California. For more information or updates, customers can visit PG&E’s official website or follow its social media channels.
