Snap Inc. has announced the launch of Lens+, an expanded offering within its Snapchat+ subscription service. The company reports that more than 15 million users currently subscribe to Snapchat+, which provides early and exclusive access to new features.

Lens+ builds on the existing Snapchat+ subscription by giving subscribers access to hundreds of augmented reality (AR) Lenses and experiences. These features allow users to play, create, and share Snaps with friends in new ways.

The initial rollout includes Lenses developed by Snap Inc. as well as select creators. Among the offerings are exclusive AI video Lenses and a new Bitmoji Game Lens. The company also plans to introduce additional AR experiences each week.

“More than 15 million Snapchatters now subscribe to Snapchat+, our subscription tier that offers access to early and exclusive features — and now, we’re introducing a new level to Snapchat+ with Lens+,” the company stated.

“In addition to all of the value from our Snapchat+ subscription, Lens+ provides access to hundreds of Lenses and AR experiences that let you play, create, and share Snaps with friends in whole new ways,” according to Snap Inc.

“We’re starting with Lenses built by Snapchat and select creators, including exclusive new AI video Lenses, a brand new Bitmoji Game Lens, and more — and we’ll be adding new AR experiences every week,” the statement continued.
