Snapchat launches on Amazon Fire Tablets via Amazon Appstore

Snapchat has become available for download on Amazon Fire Tablets through the Amazon Appstore, extending its reach to users of Fire OS devices worldwide.

The app’s arrival on Fire Tablets means users can now access Snapchat’s core features, including Chat, Stories, Lenses, and Spotlight. According to Snap Inc., “Amazon Fire Tablets are a popular choice for entertainment, learning, and staying in touch. With Snapchat now available on Fire Tablets, it’s easier than ever for people around the world to create, capture, and share the everyday moments that matter most.”

Snapchat+ subscribers will be able to use all their membership benefits on Fire Tablets as well. The company reports that there are now more than 17 million Snapchat+ subscribers globally. The launch comes as over 900 million people use Snapchat each month.

Snap Inc. stated: “The Snapchat experience on Fire Tablets is comparable to Android and iOS devices, with access to core features like Chat, Stories, Lenses, and Spotlight. Snapchat+ subscribers–now more than 17 million globally–can access all the benefits of their membership on Fire Tablets as well. With more than 900 million people using Snapchat each month, this launch builds on our continued commitment to make Snapchat accessible across more devices and platforms–helping friends and families everywhere stay connected and express themselves.”

This expansion aims to make it easier for users worldwide to stay connected by making Snapchat available on more platforms.
